I took the Ranger 600 Stunt out on a slightly breezy day, which was a good test for its stabilization system. In Expert mode, the plane was highly responsive, almost too much so, as it reacted to every little input. This mode is definitely for those who are comfortable with handling a more agile aircraft.
Switching to Intermediate mode, the plane became more stable and easier to manage, but still retained enough control for some fun flying. Finally, in Beginner mode, the stabilization system kicked in fully, making it an extremely smooth and controlled flight experience. The plane handled well even with gusts of wind, thanks to the automatic corrections made by the stabilization system.
The stabilization system also includes features like one-key return, which turns the plane 180° back towards its takeoff direction, and one-key takeoff, which automates the launch process. While these are great marketing points, I found that manually controlling the plane offers a better learning experience for new pilots.
